Remediation and Treatment Engineering
Design engineering and quality management are the keys to success in Superfund, RCRA
corrective action, classic wastewater treatment, and air pollution control. Remediation of
spills and end of pipe treatment is performed by chemical engineers skilled in the
performance of material and energy balances, as well as process performance, cost
evaluation, remedial action design, and remediation oversight. Fundamental process
design principles are coupled with all environmental health and safety, regulatory, and
production concerns to produce optimal plans and performance. Wherever possible resource

Pollution Prevention and Waste Minimization

Pilot/Treatability Studies
Treatability studies evaluate proposed waste treatment technologies and remediation
clean-up plans. Pilot studies evaluate waste minimization/pollution prevention process
changes or aid in process development. Both are done to verify vendor claims, identify
health and safety issues, specify scaleup requirements, and provide more accurate economic
and environmental effectiveness evaluations, activities which are essential to the process
of permitting and technology selection. CCC maintains pilot/treatability lab capabilities
